2. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your browser or device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a website to recognize a browser, maintain a session or shopping cart, remember preferences, understand how the website is used, and support analytics or advertising.

Similar technologies include pixels, web beacons, tags, software development tools, local storage, session storage, device or browser identifiers, and server-side event technologies. These tools may perform functions similar to cookies even though they do not always store a traditional cookie on your device.

Cookies and similar technologies may collect or be linked with information such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, approximate location, referring page, pages viewed, clicks, cart actions, transaction or conversion events, advertising identifiers, and date and time information.

3. FIRST-PARTY, THIRD-PARTY, SESSION, AND PERSISTENT COOKIES

Session cookies ordinarily expire when the browser is closed or shortly after a session ends. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until deleted. The duration stated in this Policy is indicative because expiration may vary according to Site configuration, provider changes, consent choices, browser behavior, or applicable law.

4. COOKIE CATEGORIES

Minvio classifies cookies and similar technologies into the following categories:

1. Strictly necessary — required for core Site functions, security, sessions, carts, checkout, and requested services.
2. Functional and preference — remember optional choices and improve convenience or presentation.
3. Analytics and performance — measure visits, traffic sources, Site performance, and how features are used.
4. Advertising and marketing — measure advertising, attribute conversions, limit or personalize ads, and create or reach audiences where permitted.
5. Embedded content and social media — enable content or features supplied by external media or social platforms.

A technology may support more than one purpose. Where that occurs, we classify it according to its most privacy-sensitive material purpose for consent purposes.

5. STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES

Strictly necessary cookies support functions requested by the user and ordinarily cannot be disabled through our cookie settings without affecting the Site. Examples that may be used include:

• PHPSESSID — Minvio/server; session; maintains a server session and supports secure Site functions.
• woocommerce_cart_hash — Minvio/WooCommerce; session; identifies when cart contents change.
• woocommerce_items_in_cart — Minvio/WooCommerce; session; helps maintain cart status.
• wp_woocommerce_session_* — Minvio/WooCommerce; normally 2 days; assigns a customer session identifier so the Site can locate cart data.
• woocommerce_recently_viewed — Minvio/WooCommerce; session; supports the recently viewed products feature where enabled.
• store_notice* — Minvio/WooCommerce; session; remembers dismissal of a store notice where enabled.
• WordPress login, security, and test cookies, such as wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, or wordpress_test_cookie; session or the selected remembered-login period; authenticate users, test cookie support, and protect account sessions where login features are used.
• Checkout, anti-fraud, security, load-balancing, and payment-session cookies set by Minvio or a payment/security provider; session or provider-defined period; authenticate requests, prevent abuse, and complete a transaction.

These cookies do not make every transaction secure by themselves and do not contain full card credentials. Payment providers may use their own strictly necessary technologies under their privacy and cookie notices.

6. FUNCTIONAL AND PREFERENCE COOKIES

Functional technologies remember optional settings or improve Site convenience. Examples may include:

• a cookie-consent preference that records the categories you accepted or rejected; usually 6 to 12 months, depending on the consent tool then in use;
• language, display, region, interface, recently viewed, review, or media preferences; session or a provider-defined period; and
• browser local or session storage used to preserve interface state, cart fragments, or a feature requested by the user.

If these technologies are disabled, the Site should remain generally usable, but some preferences or optional features may not work consistently. Where applicable law treats a functional technology as non-essential, it will be controlled by consent.

7. WOOCOMMERCE ORDER-ATTRIBUTION COOKIES

The Site may use WooCommerce order-attribution cookies to understand which source, campaign, or referral led to an order. These cookies ordinarily operate within a session and are not intended by WooCommerce to build a cross-session behavioral profile. Examples include:

• sbjs_session — normally 30 minutes; records session page views and the current page path.
• sbjs_udata — session; stores user-agent, browser, and device-type information.
• sbjs_first and sbjs_current — session; store first and current traffic-origin information.
• sbjs_first_add and sbjs_current_add — session; store timestamps, referring URLs, and entry pages.
• sbjs_migrations — session; supports technical migration between versions of the attribution feature.

If an order is placed, selected attribution data may be stored with the order record for reporting, fraud analysis, and business administration as explained in our Privacy Policy. Where required, these analytics technologies will be used only after the appropriate consent.

8. SITE ANALYTICS AND EVENT-ATTRIBUTION COOKIES

Minvio may use analytics or event-management tools, including PixelYourSite and related integrations, to understand traffic sources, landing pages, campaign parameters, sessions, and ecommerce events. Examples may include:

• pys_* and last_pys_* cookies, including entries relating to first visit, session start, traffic source, landing page, UTM parameters, or event identifiers; typically session-based or approximately 7 days under the current Site configuration, depending on the particular entry;
• _fbp or _fbc values generated or read for Meta event matching and attribution where advertising consent has been granted;
• browser or session-storage values used to prevent duplicate events or preserve event identifiers; and
• aggregated or pseudonymous information used to measure Site performance and campaign outcomes.

Analytics information may be linked to an order when needed to attribute a conversion, operate the store, prevent fraud, or measure a campaign. Analytics providers may process identifiers and usage data under their own terms and privacy notices.

9. GOOGLE ADVERTISING AND MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGIES

Where enabled and permitted, Minvio uses Google advertising or measurement technologies, including Google Ads conversion measurement. Google may set or read cookies and identifiers such as:

• _gcl_* cookies, such as _gcl_au or _gcl_aw, for conversion attribution and advertising measurement;
• IDE, test_cookie, or other Google advertising-domain cookies, depending on region, browser, ad interaction, and Google configuration; and
• Google Consent Mode signals and browser storage used to communicate consent choices and measure events according to the enabled implementation.

These technologies may process page URL, IP address, device or browser details, advertising identifiers, referral or campaign data, and conversion events. Duration varies by cookie and Google configuration, commonly from a session or minutes to several months, and in some cases up to approximately 13 months or the period stated by Google.

10. META/FACEBOOK ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGIES

Where enabled and permitted, Minvio uses Meta Pixel and related Meta Business Tools to measure page views, product interactions, cart activity, purchases, and advertising performance, and to support audience matching or advertising where lawful.

Examples may include:

• _fbp — generally up to approximately 3 months; distinguishes browsers and supports advertising delivery and measurement.
• _fbc — generally up to approximately 3 months when created following an eligible Facebook click; stores click-attribution information.
• Meta-domain cookies or identifiers — provider-controlled duration; may be used when your browser communicates with Meta or when you are logged in to a Meta service.

Meta may receive event information such as page URL, IP address, browser details, event time, product or order value, currency, transaction reference, and identifiers used for matching. Where advanced matching or server-side event transmission is enabled, selected customer identifiers may be transformed, such as by hashing, before transmission. Hashing does not make information anonymous, and such processing is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable consent requirements.

Meta’s current cookie information and controls are available in the Meta Cookies Policy and through your Meta account advertising settings.

11. TIKTOK ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGIES

Where enabled and permitted, Minvio uses TikTok Pixel and related TikTok business tools to measure, optimize, and attribute advertising campaigns and, where lawful, support audience matching or personalized advertising.

Examples may include:

• _ttp — persistent, commonly up to approximately 13 months depending on TikTok configuration and region; supports event matching, measurement, and advertising.
• _tt_enable_cookie — persistent, provider-controlled period; records or supports TikTok cookie use.
• ttcsid and ttcsid_* — session or persistent, depending on configuration; support session and campaign-event attribution.
• TikTok-domain cookies, click identifiers, pixel session values, or browser storage — duration determined by TikTok and the enabled feature.

TikTok may receive page and event information, IP address, user agent, device or browser information, click or campaign identifiers, product interactions, and conversion events. Where advanced matching or server-side event transmission is enabled, selected identifiers may be transformed, such as by hashing, before transmission. These technologies remain subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable consent requirements.

12. EMBEDDED CONTENT AND SOCIAL-MEDIA FEATURES

Pages may include an embedded video, social-media link, review tool, sharing button, or other content supplied by a third party. If you interact with such a feature, the provider may set cookies, receive your IP address and device information, and learn that your browser visited the relevant Minvio page.

These technologies are normally treated as functional, analytics, or advertising technologies according to their purpose. Where consent is required, the embedded feature or its non-essential tracking should remain disabled until the relevant consent is provided.

Following a simple external link may take you to another website governed by that website’s own privacy and cookie practices.

13. SERVER-SIDE EVENTS AND TECHNOLOGIES WITHOUT COOKIES

Some Site or advertising events may be transmitted from Minvio’s server to a service provider rather than directly from a browser. Server-side transmission may improve reliability, deduplicate events, prevent fraud, and measure conversions, but it does not remove our privacy or consent obligations.

Where applicable law or a user’s valid choice requires an analytics or marketing event to be disabled, we will apply that choice to related browser-side and server-side processing to the extent required and technically applicable. Further details about the categories of information disclosed to analytics and advertising partners are provided in our Privacy Policy.

14. CONSENT AND LEGAL BASIS

Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are needed to provide a feature or service requested by you, maintain security, or complete a transaction. They generally cannot be rejected through our cookie preference tool.

Where applicable law requires prior consent, Minvio will request consent before enabling non-essential functional, analytics, embedded-content, or advertising technologies. Refusing non-essential cookies must not prevent access to ordinary Site content or the purchase of a product, although optional functions may be reduced.

In jurisdictions where consent is not required for a particular technology, we may rely on another lawful basis described in our Privacy Policy, such as legitimate interests, while still providing controls required by law.

Your consent is voluntary. You may accept all, reject non-essential categories, choose individual categories, or later withdraw your choice without affecting processing lawfully completed before withdrawal.

15. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIE CHOICES

Where a cookie banner or preference center is available, use “Cookie Settings” or the equivalent control displayed on the Site to review and change your choices. A link or control for reopening those settings should remain reasonably accessible, such as in the footer or cookie icon.

Your choice is generally stored for the browser and device you used. You may need to repeat it if you clear cookies, use private-browsing mode, switch browsers or devices, or if a material policy or technology change requires renewed consent.

Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete information already received by a third-party provider. You may also need to use the provider’s privacy controls or request deletion as explained in our Privacy Policy.

16. BROWSER AND DEVICE CONTROLS

Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies and clear browser storage. Instructions are generally available in the browser’s privacy or security settings. Mobile devices and advertising platforms may also provide controls to reset or limit advertising identifiers and personalized advertising.

Blocking all cookies may cause the cart, account login, checkout, payment, fraud-prevention, saved preferences, or other Site features to stop working properly. Browser controls may not prevent server-side processing or tracking that does not depend on cookies.

Provider-specific controls may include Google Ads Settings, Meta advertising settings, and TikTok advertising or privacy settings. The availability and effect of those controls are determined by the relevant provider.

17. DO NOT TRACK AND GLOBAL PRIVACY SIGNALS

Some browsers provide a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no universally accepted standard for interpreting every Do Not Track signal, the Site may not respond to that setting in all circumstances.

Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will treat the signal as an opt-out for the browser or device to the extent required and technically applicable. This does not disable strictly necessary technologies.

18. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING AND THIRD-PARTY CHANGES

Analytics, advertising, payment, security, and technology providers may process information in countries other than your own. Cross-border processing is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third parties may change cookie names, purposes, or expiration periods without directly notifying Minvio. We periodically review the technologies used on the Site and update this Policy when reasonably necessary. The actual cookies visible on your device depend on the page visited, available features, consent selection, login status, browser settings, region, and provider configuration.

19. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our Site, providers, cookies, consent practices, or legal obligations. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent before materially changing how non-essential technologies are used.
